The ‘year of Jubilee’ is a year of celebration that takes place every 50 years to proclaim liberty. Slaves are freed, the land has rest, debts are forgiven, and we are freed from all that binds us.
The reason God allowed the year of Jubilee was because He wanted us to know that everything in the world belonged to Him. He wanted everyone to have equal ownership rather than one particular person owning more than others.
God wants us to have freedom. If anyone around us are bound by sin and life’s despair, let us share ‘Jesus’ with them and enjoy true freedom today.
Passage: Leviticus 25:1-12
10 Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan
11 The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
