          • This is what the Lord has commanded:

God told all the Israelites through Moses to take the sacrifices and differentially offer them in a designated place. God commanded to offer sacrifices according to the prescribed ordinance, because otherwise the Israelites who are not free from sin will be separated from the group.

God wants offerings to be given in his own way, whether the offering is big or small. If any kinds of valuable treasure was obtained or offered in the way that God is unpleased with, it will be like the Cain’s worship that God refuses which may result in jeopardising our relationship with him.

I hope we try to live by the word of God in order to worship him in the way he wants us to, and be the people that differentially offer our lives to him.

            Passage: Leviticus 17:1-9 NIV
2 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites and say to them: ‘This is what the Lord has commanded:
3 Any Israelite who sacrifices an ox, a lamb or a goat in the camp or outside of it
4 instead of bringing it to the entrance to the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to the Lord in front of the tabernacle of the Lord—that person shall be considered guilty of bloodshed; they have shed blood and must be cut off from their people.

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God’s message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
