David was thrilled when people said to him, “Let us go to the house of the Lord” because that was where their loving God was.
‘If that was where your loved ones were, and that was where your family was...’
We would rejoice in our journey there no matter how far it was.
Is that where the Lord is? Is that where joy, gratitude and peace are?
Let us look back at what is in our hearts towards our community of faith.
‘Do I love the community in which I belong...?’
‘Do I value each family member and pray for them..?’
As David prayed for peace in Jerusalem, let us pray for the peace of God in the church and mokjang in which we belong.
Passage: Psalm 122:1-9
1 I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet are standing in your gates, Jerusalem.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.
7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.”
