At that time the jewish people were treated as minors from up to 12 to 14 years old. It was a culture where even children could not own property rights. Before their children, servants, or adults, their fathers' guardians and stewards took care of their property, and after they became adults, the family officially inherited the property from their children's feast. Before becoming an adult, there was no significant difference between a child and a slave, but after becoming an adult all property went to the children.
In the text we will look at today, it refers to the Laws that the Jews had kept. The Law was like a Guardian, and the people taught this law to one another until the day that God had appointed them.
But since the coming of Jesus, the law was no longer effective,
False Jewish leaders and prophets continued to confuse the early church with the demands of the Law.
The apostle Paul warns the teachings of these false leaders and emphasizes not to stumble over the temptations.
Many heresies add different conditions to our salvation. But our salvation comes only through faith in Jesus. If someone adds “Jesus” to our salvation and shakes our convictions of salvation, we hope that it will be a day of experiencing Jesus who sets us free through faith.
Bible Verse to read: Galatians 4:1-11
8. Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.
9. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces. Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
10. You are observing special days and months and seasons and years!
11. I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.
1. Did you think about God when you woke up?
2. What is God trying to tell us?
3. What do i need to obey?
4. Write thankful points.
