A sacrifice God is happy with is not a formal one like the times of the Old Testament where people sacrificed animals. Rather it is where we accept God as our helper, where God is God, where He is my Saviour, and we sings songs of worship to him.
God is also happy when we give sacrifices like a person of God within our lives. A life were we share our things, serve others and help them stand.
A sacrifice God is happy with is a ‘sacrifice of obedience’
A life where we obey God’s word. A life where we obey the leaders who God have appointed. God wants us to live with this mindset of obedience.
Are we currently living with giving sacrifices God is happy with?
I hope we contemplate why we can’t give a sacrifice God is happy with.
Passage : Hebrews 13:9-17
15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
17 Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
