God knew the weakness of the mankind and abolished the old covenant (laws written on stone tablets by Moses) and gave us a new covenant. This meant that God would write His laws in our minds and hearts and not on stone tablets. God promises to save our sinful lives through the Holy Spirit.
In order for us to receive God’s promise, what do we need to show God? I believe it is ‘faith’ to live as a Christian.
When we become ‘believers’ of Jesus who gives infinite love, we can receive God’s new covenant. We must stand by our faith so that we can receive and keep the new covenant. So I take a moment to meditate and pray how I can live today to keep my weak faith.
Passage: Hebrews 8:1-13
10 This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
11 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
