The Lord is saddened when he sees us rowing hard and struggling through life.
We are not able to realise He is next to us because we are are so focussed on rowing due to the strong winds and waves of life that come our way.
Whenever there is an issue or pain in our life, we cannot see God because we have the habit of fixing our eyes on the problem rather than looking at God.
Today I pray that we will not lose sight of God, who is truly greater than the problem.
Passage: Mark 6: 45-56
48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them,
49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out,
50 because they all saw him and were terrified.
Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
51 Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed,
52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.
1.Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2.What is God’s message to me?
3.What do I need to be obedient to?
