As they continued to sin, Judah and Israel, the people of God, were on the verge of perishing. They had no hope and their sin was too big to turn back from. All that was left for them was judgement, and there was no hope. It was like the end of the world for them; they were regretful but it was too late. However, God didn’t give up on them. Much later in the future, He showed them His love for them through the birth of Jesus Christ.
God’s love does not give up. Even though we may give up on Him and choose the world over Him, He does not give up on His children. We may be punished for our wrongdoings but when we return to Him, He is always there with the door open.
If you have made wrong choices and are facing its consequences, please do not give up. God will guide you with hope. If you look towards God, you will see a way. Our hope lies only in God.
Passage: 2 Chronicles 36:11-23
22 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:
23 “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
“‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up, and may the Lord their God be with them.’”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
