The angel tells Maria ‘for no word from God will ever fail’.
Maria says ‘I am the Lord’s servant‘ ‘May your word to me be fulfilled’.
A ‘servant’ does not have four things. They do not have their own will, their own work, their own plan and their own worth. They are simply obedient for only God’s will, work, plan and worth.
Salvation from God comes through confessing to Him with our hearts that He has nothing He cannot do, obeying his every word and sacrificing ourselves for God’s work, like Maria did.
I pray that, today also, we will give our pride and ego to God and that He will be the owner of our lives through our sacrificial obedience.
