Uzziah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord like his father King Amaziah. However, this was due to a prophet named Zechariah. He was next to Uzziah and he instructed him to fear the Lord.
Through this God made his life prosperous. But in the passage it says “during the days of Zechariah”. You can anticipate what his life would be like after. When Zechariah left Uzziah, he lived a prideful life and was unfaithful to the Lord.
Is there a person like Zechariah beside you, who helps you to obey and fear God? God uses people like Zechariah to lead you and make your lives prosperous. I hope you can obey and respect people like Zechariah in your life.
Passage: 2 Chronicles 26:1-15
3 Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jekoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
4 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Amaziah had done.
5 He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God.As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success.
