          • The Secret of a Heart that Attracts People

Solomon’s son, Rehoboam, was a king that spilt the Israelites with an unwise judgement. Rather than a heart of compassion for his people, he was a king who had a heart wanting to display his power.
If he had had a heart of compassion for his people, Israel may not have been spilt.

A heart which does not understand other people and wants to display their own ability hurts people around us. However a heart that is humble and compassionate brings up the people around us.

People are waiting for humble leaders who understand their feelings and who stays with them not just through words.
Even though they might be a little lacking and stifling, if we really try to understand them and wait for them, they will surely become outstanding people who will bring us back up.

            Passage : 2 Chronicles 11:1-12
1 When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mustered Judah and Benjamin—a hundred and eighty thousand able young men—to go to war against Israel and to regain the kingdom for Rehoboam.
2 But this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God:
3 “Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin,
4 ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your fellow Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’ ” So they obeyed the words of the Lord and turned back from marching against Jeroboam.

            2. What is God’s message to me?

            3. What do I need to obey?

            4. Write a list of thankful prayer points.
