In the bible, we often come across situations in which God commands the Israelites and blesses those who received His commands and obeyed. On the other hand, He punishes those who did not obey Him and gave excuses, like King Saul. God delighted in pure, unswayed obedience.
As Christians, we are faced with many worldly temptations that look like they would immediately improve our lives. However it is a blessing not to fall for those temptations but to purely obey God. He will take care of those who choose to obey Him despite their negative circumstances.
Passage: 2 Chronicles 8:1-16
15 They did not deviate from the king’s commands to the priests or to the Levites in any matter, including that of the treasuries.
16 All Solomon’s work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid until its completion. So the temple of the Lord was finished.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
