After being chosen by God, the Israelites lived a life like a one of a gypsy.
Even during the 40years in the desert, the 400years being slaves of Egypt and in the Promised Land of Canaan, the people of Israel lived a life like a ‘gypsy’, where they wandered around aimlessly.
And due to this heart and mindset, God repeatedly let them see the past but not the future.
We must distance ourselves from the heart of a ‘gypsy’, but instead we should have the heart of a ‘traveler’.
They are both unfamiliar people in unfamiliar places, but a ‘gypsy’ lonesomely misses their home, while a ‘traveler’ experiences new things with an excited heart.
We have hearts like a ‘traveler’ and we search for God’s will in the short time we stay on this earth, as we go towards ‘God’s Kingdom’, an eternal home reserved for us.
If we live with the heart of a ‘traveler’ not a ‘gypsy’ in this unfamiliar land, we will definitely find more treasures in life.
Passage : Psalms 105:1 ~ 15
12 When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
13 they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
14 He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:
15 “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm”
