Just as a father has compassion for his children, the LORD has compassion for those who fear him. It is because he knows our weaknesses.
Everything we have on this earth is like a flower or a grass in a field which eventually all turns into dust. However anything who worships God and keeps his covenant will experience God's everlasting love and mercy.
When we are struggling with our weaknesses and problems in our life, I hope that we seek God's compassion and his mercy. I hope that we can look at God and live according to his word.
Passage to read: Psalm 103:13-22
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
Questions to think about:
1. Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God telling me?
3. What do I need to be obedient with?
4. Write down your thankful prayer.
