In todays passage, we see a list of people in charge of the storehouses, lands, vineyards and herds as well as wise and skillful assistants who were always by King David’s side.
We see God anointing king for His people and sending wise people to help the king rule the country. He also sends people with gifts and skills in various areas.
A nation cannot be built by a single leader and his strength and wisdom; it requires people who are committed to utilizing their gifts in fulfilling their duties in each area, to build a healthy nation.
Let us also be committed to our roles in the workplace and family, in our mokjang and church to build a solid kingdom of God, and let our speech and actions throughout the day give off a fragrance of Christ.
Passage: 1 Chronicles 27:25-34
32 Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counselor, a man of insight and a scribe. Jehiel son of Hakmoni took care of the king’s sons.
33 Ahithophel was the king’s counselor.
Hushai the Arkite was the king’s confidant. 34 Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah and by Abiathar.
