          • Who is a good neighbour?

The people on the island of Malta showed kindness to Paul and his people who were shivering in the cold. They made fire for them and showed hospitality. The people of the Malta Island were naturally warm, kind people but they were non-Christians with their own folk religion. To Paul, they were people who did not know Jesus but were kind and warm, and were good neighbours who were willing to help those in need.

            Who are good neighbours?
They are people who have helped me in times of despair and pain.
Shouldn't we and the church also become good neighbors to the unbelievers in the world?

            Please look around yourselves.
You may have neighbours in despair.

            Passage: Acts 28:1-10

1 Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta.
2 The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold.
3 Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand.

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God's message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
