The ship Paul was in was stuck in a storm for days. After about 14 days in the storm, the sailors realised they were close to shore and let the lifeboats down into the sea to escape. Paul shouted at them, "Unless you stay with the ship, you cannot be saved."
We too are faced with moments in our lives when we feel like we are going through a storm. We want to just give up and are desperate for the hardship to be over.
But the more we feel this way, the more we must hold onto Jesus' promise and stay with Him. This is the only way for us to be saved.
If you want to be saved, 'stay put' with the Lord and we will all be saved.
Dear people, please do not leave the Lord and stay put.
Passage: Acts 27:27-44
30 In an attempt to escape from the ship, the sailors let the lifeboat down into the sea, pretending they were going to lower some anchors from the bow.
31 Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.”
32 So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it drift away.
