Paul knew what would happen to him if he went to Jerusalem for the gospel. It was imprisonment, distress and suffering. There was not one good thing. It was an unfortunate place for him. However it did not stop him from going there, because Paul received a mission from the Lord. Paul confesses. If he can handle all of the command of God then he could spare his life.
God’s mission to me is not to do what I want to do. Even if I don't want to. Even if I'm tired. Even if I suffer. It is what we have to do because it is God’s calling. You will be able to fulfill your mission when you know the grace of the LORD, who loved you more than you did.
We're the ones who received the mission. Are you ready to handle this " mission"? So today let’s hold onto the Lord to fulfill his "mission."
Passage: Acts 20:13-24
22 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.
24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
