Even as Paul and Silas are imprisoned and could not move, they keep the hope of of Jesus in there hear as they praise and pray. Just as this was happening the gates of the prison opens and what they wore on their arms and feet were released because of an earthquake. The guard in fear fell before Paul and Silas and asked how he was able to be saved. They answered “believe in Jesus and you and your household shall be saved”. If we our all our hope in the Lord our saviour how will be action be shown.
As we live with the hope in our heart and the chains broken through Christ. Let’s also live our life with praise and prayer to the Lord. I pray that we can be Christians that save souls and have hope in the Lord.
Read: Acts 16: 19-40
25. By midnight Paul and Silas were singing songs of praise to God in prayer, while the prisoners were listening.
26 Then suddenly a big earthquake shook the ground of the prison. Soon all the doors were opened, and all the prisoners' handcuffs and loosened.
27. When the guard woke up and saw the gates opened, he knew that the prisoners had fled, and withdrew his sword, he tried to self-determinate.
28 Then Paul cried out with a loud voice, "Do not harm yourself. We are all."
29. The jailer asked for a lamp, jumped in, and trembled with fear, falling down before Paul and Silas.
30 And they took them out and asked. "Apostles, how can I be saved?"
31 They answered. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you and your household will be saved."
32 And the word of God was spoken to the jailer and to everyone in his house.
33 At that time the jailer took them and washed the wounds. And he and the whole family were baptized there.
34 The jailer took them to his home and served food. He was pleased with his whole family to believe in God.
1. When you woke up in the morning, did you think about Jesus?
