We often make promises that we cannot keep to calm a crying child.
However, God makes a sincere promise that he will hold us, strengthen us and raise us. But we do not believe this promise nor do we hold onto it. Why is this? Because we are weak? No, it is because we are arrogant.
Our arrogant sin makes us believe that we do not need to rely on God.
But, God's children need to rely on God. We need to depend and hold onto him.
God has promised us.
I love you and I will keep my promise with you.
Passage to read: 89:19-37
21 My hand will sustain him;
surely my arm will strengthen him.
22 The enemy will not get the better of him;
the wicked will not oppress him.
23 I will crush his foes before him
and strike down his adversaries.
24 My faithful love will be with him,
and through my name his horn[f] will be exalted.

1. Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God telling me?
3. What do I need to be obedient with?
4. Write down your thankful prayer.
