During your youthful days you are confident in everything.
But as you grow older pass your middle age your passion dies down and fear overtakes you in your old age due to abandonment and isolation. Life is like a flower or grass that withers. But God is not the one to cut off the withered life. He is the one that leads us to the eternal kingdom that does not wither. Therefore, let us not rely on the weakness of our flesh while we are alive but rely on God who renews our soul evermore.
Psalm 71:1-13
5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
my confidence since my youth.

From birth I have relied on you;
you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
I will ever praise you.
9 Do not cast me away when I am old;
do not forsake me when my strength is gone.
