There are times in life when God makes us go through struggle where we meet the pit of our soul. It is a time of darkness where we almost want to let go of our own life. The poet is so much at despair that his eyes have failed him because of his cries. However this is a grace. It is because at this point of despair that one truly finds and meets God. Just like how Jonah when God in the depth of the sea. Therefore, praying in times of struggle is a grace.
Psalm 69:1-12
1
Save me, O God,
for the waters have come up to my neck.
2
I sink in the miry depths,
where there is no foothold.
I have come into the deep waters;
the floods engulf me.
3
I am worn out calling for help;
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
looking for my God.
1. Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
