The mature confession of the Shulammite woman is beautiful. She confesses that previously she loved in her own way with a self centred love but now she says “I am yours”. Mature faith confesses and focuses on the fact that we belong to the Lord rather than the love we receive from Him. Confessing our love to Him. I pray that as we deepen our fellowship with the Lord, our faith in Him can change as well.

2 My beloved has gone down to his garden,
to the beds of spices,
to browse in the gardens
and to gather lilies.
3 I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine; he browses among the lilies.
