A farmer does not gain fruit by planting a seed carelessly. They will plow and cultivate the ground and find a good place for the plant to grow. They know which ground they must plant on and when to plant and harvest. Just like a farmer, God does not carelessly leave us alone. He arranges a special plan for us so that we can bear as much fruit as possible. God asks us to listen carefully to what he has to tell us.
Passage to read: Isaiah 28:23-29
23. Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say.
24. When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually?
25. When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cumin? Does he not pant wheat in its place, barley in its plot, and spelt in its field?
26. His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.
Questions to think about:
1. Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God telling me?
3. What do I need to be obedient with?
Write down your thankful prayer.
