There was a women who had lost his son 3 months after his husband had died. She was in despair and resented God. "Why is all this happening to me?", she questioned God. Then God said, " Why do you think these won't happen to you?" God's answer seemed so harsh on her. But, she realised how arrogant she was in believing that she was different from others and all the hardships were someone else's story. So, instead of resenting God she began to thank God. She thanked God that she was forgiven and received salvation. She thanked God that she had peace and hope in heaven.

Returning to God and repenting after going through despair and hardships is a blessing. It is rather a tragedy that you experience a hard situation and resent God. God says that he will not forgive sins that are not repented. It is important that we do not ignore or hesitate to repent when God gives us the chance to repent.
Passage to read Isaiah 22: 1-14
12. The Lord, the Lord Almighty,
called you on that day
to weep and to wail,
to tear out your hair and put on sackcloth.
13 But see, there is joy and revelry,
slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep,
eating of meat and drinking of wine!
“Let us eat and drink,” you say,
“for tomorrow we die!”
14 The Lord Almighty has revealed this in my hearing: “Till your dying day this sin will not be atoned for,” says the Lord, the Lord Almighty.
Questions to think about:
1. Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God telling me?
3. What do I need to be obedient with?
4. Write down your thankful prayer.
