Thank you to everyone who prayed at the Three Cord Prayer Meeting over the past two weeks, and to those who served quietly in many places without being named. Let us keep being a praying church where the fire of prayer never goes out.
The 958th House Church Seminar for Lay Leaders will have 49 participants: 47 registrants plus a pastor and his wife joining from Korea as observers. Notably, 30 of them are in their 20s and 30s.
Team leaders have been appointed for administration, program, meals and snacks, hospitality, decoration, intercessory prayer, house church placement and testimonies, and interpretation. With so many participants we need many hands, so from this week please sign up for a team on the church notice board. Volunteers are especially needed for meal preparation on the seminar days; even if you cannot serve the whole time, please serve when you can.
Thank you to the shepherds and shepherds’ partners opening their house churches. Not all who offer accommodation have a spare room; many give their own bedroom to participants and sleep in the living room. I was moved to hear that the singles’ house church, having no accommodation, is renting an Airbnb in order to serve. Service offered in difficult circumstances has always moved people most, so I believe there will be great grace again.
From this week, please run your house church meetings according to the meeting manual, as your meeting will be the model for participants. House church members, remember that the seminar is not only the ministry of shepherds and shepherds’ wives but something we all do together. During seminar week the meeting will be on Saturday, so please adjust your schedule in advance so you do not miss it.
Word of the week
From this week, the Children’s Church 1st and 2nd services are combined into the 2nd service. Children who come to the 1st service, please worship with your parents in the main hall.
