          • Teacher's Sunday

The word "teacher" means "one who instructs and guides others onto the right path." Teacher's Sunday is a day to express gratitude and respect to the teachers of the church — teachers, shepherds, shepherds’ partners, and ministry workers.
With that in mind, we must first give thanks to our Lord, the greatest Teacher of the church, for always leading us on the best and most righteous path. As we celebrate Teacher's Sunday, let this also be a day to express our heartfelt gratitude and respect to the many teachers who serve faithfully — from the Children's Church and Youth Church to the Korean Language School.
Our church teachers carve out time amid demanding jobs, university studies, and household responsibilities to pour themselves wholeheartedly into helping the next generation grow in their faith. They treat the children to meals, stay up late counselling them over the phone, pray for them with tears, and pull late nights preparing to teach the Bible well.
Yet teachers are only human — when they grow weary and worn, there are moments of discouragement. This is often because serving the next generation is work that rarely yields visible results, making it easy for the effort to feel meaningless. Therefore, please comfort and love our hardworking teachers, even if only in your heart. Through their labour and dedication, our next generation will become not a generation that drifts away, but a generation of faith that surpasses even that of their parents.
Let this also be a day to express gratitude and respect to the shepherds and shepherds’ partners who toil and give of themselves in their house churches. The time and devotion poured into saving even a single soul is already more than enough to deserve our thanks and honour — and yet our shepherds and shepherds’ partners go even further, interceding, teaching, and striving day and night to raise up disciples of Jesus. May this be a moment to convey our deep appreciation to them.
We pray that this Teacher's Sunday will once again be a blessed day — one filled with gratitude and respect for all who guide us.

            Word of the week
Today is Teachers’ Sunday. Let us take a moment to once again express our gratitude for the dedication and love of the children’s church and youth church teachers, shepherds and shepherds’ partners, and pastors, who have worked hard for our spiritual growth.
