From January 19 to 22, 2026, the Youth Ministry of Sydney Crystal Church will hold a 3-night, 4-day summer camp under the theme “Maturity”. About 110 people will participate, including 60 students and 50 teachers and volunteers who have joyfully committed to serve.
We chose the theme “Maturity” because we hope this camp will become a defining moment in which our students meet God personally, experience a genuine change of direction in life, and grow in true maturity. Rather than a temporary response driven by atmosphere, we pray that a deep encounter with God will strengthen their inner lives. Adolescence is often a season of confusion in many forms, but when young people meet God, their wandering comes to an end, and they begin to take root in their words, their lives, their faith, and their character.
We ask for the sincere and continual intercessory prayers of the congregation so that Pastor Samuel Choi, Student Pastor Hanna Kim, and all the teachers who joyfully dedicate their time may remain strong and refreshed in body and spirit, and be able to fully pour out the heart God has given them to the youths.
We encourage parents not to view this camp as merely one of many school-holiday activities, but as “the most valuable and precious time for their children’s future”. Considering the 3-night, 4-day schedule, the camp fee is far from sufficient, so the church will provide substantial financial support. In consideration of parents’ busy schedules, transportation will be arranged by chartered bus.
Visits during the camp are generally not permitted, as they do not help students while programs are in progress. However, for those who sincerely wish to visit to encourage and pray, up to 20 people may register on a first-come, first-served basis to attend the Tuesday evening service. (Due to conference venue regulations, there is a $30 fee per visitor; no meals will be provided.)
The change and maturity of our youths are the future and hope of Sydney Cystal Church. Please support and pray that these three days and four nights will become a turning point, enabling our students to “build a solid foundation of faith that is not swayed by worldly values, experience true change and maturity, and grow as key leaders who dream of God’s Kingdom”.
Word of the week
“God’s command to observe the Sabbath, in the New Testament era, is carried forward as keeping the Lord’s Day holy. To keep the Lord’s Day means placing participation in the Sunday Corporate Worship service as the highest priority in our lives. When worship is not made our top priority, our faith begins to decline.”
