          • A Challenge for Holy Freedom

A hopeful new year, 2026, has dawned. This year, our church moves forward with strength under the motto, “Unbind him, and let him go” (John 11:44 ESV).
In John chapter 11, Lazarus, who had received life from death, walks out of the tomb. He was clearly alive, yet his entire body was still bound with grave clothes, and his face was covered with a cloth. Though he had received life, he could not move freely. At that moment, Jesus said to those standing nearby, “Unbind him, and let him go” (John 11:44).
Even today, we often see a similar sorrowful reality among believers. Though saved, many remain bound by the heavy burdens of life and are unable to enjoy true freedom.
Therefore, we earnestly hope that 2026 will be a year of challenge toward holy freedom—a year in which every chain that binds us is broken. The problem of sin that entangles us, habits we have been unable to break for years, tangled relationships, financial pressures, wounds and scars that gnaw at the soul, and even physical illness—may the authoritative declaration of Jesus, “Unbind him, and let him go!” become a living reality in our lives.
This command is also a mission entrusted to our community. Although Jesus could have unbound Lazarus Himself, He chose instead to entrust that task to those standing nearby. In the same way, we must diligently invite those who do not yet know the gospel or understand the truth into our house churches and our church. So that they may begin a new life in the truth, we must first reach out with hands of love and help loosen what binds them. We look forward to seeing works of life and restoration throughout every house church and in every corner of our church.
To fulfill this mission, we need the work of the Holy Spirit. Throughout this year, I encourage you to make a renewed commitment to prayer and to obedience to the Word, so that the Holy Spirit may be present and at work in our worship, our ministries, and our daily lives.
We believe that 2026 will be a year in which, for all who pray with expectation, what has been bound will be unbound, closed doors will be opened, and God’s people will rejoice in the freedom the Lord has given.

            Word of the week
            The year 2026 has dawned.
Our church motto for 2026 is, “Unbind him, and let him go” (John 11:44 ESV).
As you hold fast to God’s Word and pray throughout this year, we pray that everything that binds you will be released and that you will experience true freedom.
