Preparing and Experiencing the House Church Seminar for Lay Leaders together
The registration for the 884th House Church Seminar for Lay Leaders (September 19–21, 2025) has closed. Our church has continually experienced God’s blessings and grace while serving through this seminar. The house churches also experience joy as they serve participants from other churches. However, each time the seminar is held, there are always some members who cannot join to serve, which is unfortunate. While the church is filled with a celebratory atmosphere and the participants receive grace and encouragement, it would be a great loss if the hosting church members themselves are unaware of what is happening.
As we prepare for this upcoming seminar, we hope that the house churches will be refreshed and that everyone will share in the joy together. For this, we kindly ask you to prepare in the following ways:
First, join the Three-corded Strand Prayer Nights. The seminar can only be served with joy when it is spiritually prepared. For this reason, prayer nights will be held leading up to the seminar. The dates are September 1 (Mon) to 5 (Fri), every evening at 7:30 PM. If your house church usually meets on Fridays, please reschedule to Saturday so that everyone can join together.
Second, open your house church. The house church visit is the most important part of the seminar, where participants directly observe and learn from an actual house church meeting. Although each house church may face challenges, when you serve in obedience despite difficult circumstances, participants will be deeply moved and touched by grace, and the hosting house church will in turn experience God’s work through its obedience. Smaller house churches can participate by joining together with another house church. Please conduct the house church gathering according to the manual so that participants can clearly see and learn.
Third, prepare for ministries and the Sunday corporate worship service. The seminar is like a festival in which the whole church takes part. Team leaders should not rely only on the same group of people each year, but allow more members to experience serving in the seminar. The Sunday corporate worship service will include Multiplication ceremonies, baptisms, and hug ceremonies, so that it becomes a time to witness salvation, discipleship, and a vibrant, Spirit-filled worship. House churches with members who will be participating in these events should inform us in advance so that proper preparation can be made.
