Expressions rather than words (Pastor Byung-Geun Kim)
One day, I went to see a doctor at the hospital. The moment he saw me, the doctor told me that I was a person that didn’t need to come to the hospital. After a while, he explained that this was because of the way my face appeared when he looked at me. It means that the health of the body is also reflected in the expressions of the face. If so, does the face only show the state of one’s health? The face is said to be a bulletin board that expresses someone’s life.
In fact, one part of human contains the whole of a person. It was created with the principle of reduction and expansion. When we look at one thing, we were created to see and know ten things. As a counselor, I have had the habit of looking deeply into the face of other people over the past few decades. There was once a book called “Successful people have an expression” (by Jeong Yeon-Ah). In the end, I think the part of the emphasis was that facial expressions were important in creating success.
A person’s inner psychological health is also contained in the facial expression. If you have a dark expression on your face, you are also a dark person on the inside. It is because the visible side comes from the invisible inside. In other words, it means the insides are not healthy. My son once went to college far away from home. At that time, I remember the author told my son that he needs to meet a sister with two conditions, that is, to have the same religion, and someone with a bright smile. My son followed that advice well. This is because it is also said that the dark expression on the face is because it is full of anger (anxiety), worries, and excessive greed. After all, this is because there is an inner wound or pain.
