Australia is currently experiencing severe drought and bush fires; the worst in Australian history in fact, with the disastrous bush fires killing people and burning down numerous homes. Regardless of how hard we try, it's impossible for humans to stop natural disasters and only God can send rain down to stop it.
Many members of the church are also experiencing difficulties that are hard to explain. The only thing we can do at this time is to seek God’s will through prayer. If we didn’t pray, we’d be trying hard to find our own ways to fix the problems, but our problems won’t go away.
God said, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)”
The 123 Prayer refers to praying for two weeks (Mon-Sun), twice a day, in the morning (when we wake up) and in the evening (9pm), for 3 minutes. Three minutes is the minimum time, and this is to allow those who are not familiar with praying, to also participate. I ask that mokjang leaders and the intercessory prayer team pray for longer.
At 9 in the evening, mokjang leaders will receive a message in the Kakao talk chatroom, which will then be forwarded to all mokjang members by their leaders, and we will all take a moment to pray. If your mokjang is having your gathering at 9pm, you can pause and pray together, and on Saturday dawn prayer service, all mokjangs can attend at 6am to pray together.
Our prayer topics are: first, for God to forgive the sins of this country and to allow rain to put out the bush fires, and secondly, to restore our mokjangs and families and to stop Satan's attacks and illnesses we are experiencing.
I anticipate the entire congregation's participation in the prayer.
