          • What we should say

The tongue is a very small part of the body but it has unimaginable power. Our tongue (speech) can defile our body and soul, and can create problems in our lives, so we must be very careful what we say.
God has said to us, 'I will do to you the very thing I heard you say.’ (Numbers 14:28)
So what does God want us to say?
            First is 'praise'.
'Praise' is giving God credit for what He has done. For instance, it is saying, "God created the universe, God saved me."
‘Praise' is also boasting about what God has done for me. So giving a testimony every Sunday is also praising God.
            Second is 'respect'.
To show respect to someone is to be polite. 'Respect' is acknowledging adults as adults. So Christians who are respectful are also 'appreciative' because 'appreciation' is a form of showing respect.

          • Finally, 'giving compliments'.
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and 'complimenting' someone is pointing out their strengths rather than their weaknesses. When we acknowledge people's strengths and express them, it's called a compliment.
God gave us speech, so shouldn't our speech as Christians differ from the worldly people! Let us endeavour to speak the way God has commanded us to, by praising God, and respecting and complementing one another.

            This week's message
A Christian life without prayer is like a car without gas. Despite having so many prayer topics, they don't become our priority in the midst of our busy lives. Let us wake at dawn and pray. Let us all attend the Saturday dawn prayer service with our mokjang members and pray.
