During service, the sermon time is when we listen to God's will directed specifically at me. We mustn't listen to the sermon like we are listening to a lecture, but must believe that God, who knows me best, is talking to me personally.
The most important thing to do during the sermon time is to listen to the sermon and make a conscious decision. The sermon can be touching, it can help us learn, and move us. This is what the Holy Spirit does in us. But if we stop at this, we won't bear fruit in our lives. So when we are touched by the sermon, we must make a conscious effort to make a commitment to God. God will help us when we commit ourselves to obey Him throughout the week.
When any of the below apply to you, please don’t hesitate to come forward to the commitment panel, fill out a commitment card and make a commitment to the Lord.
- when something had been on your mind for some time and through the sermon you have made a resolution
- when you have been praying about something and you now have the heart to obey
- when you wish to be spiritually renewed and transformed
- when you want to make a prayer request to the pastor
-when you want to register at church or want to be baptized
- when you want to join a ministry or a life class
Most of us are not used to coming up to the commitment panel so it’s necessary for mokjas to encourage and help their members. Once you are at the front and have filled out the card, please pray quietly while waiting for your turn and I will pray for each person in order.
“Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.” (Psalm 4:3)

Ministers feel disheartened when people are habitually late to service, leave during service, or are outside during service time for various reasons. I think God would feel the same. Let us meet God through giving our best.
