The testimony assembly with mokjang leaders Jang Hansu and Park Sunyoung concluded with abundant grace. On Friday, the first day of the event, the sky became dark and cloudy and then it started to rain. I’d told my fellow ministers, “Let’s make sure the rain doesn’t cause any inconvenience to the attendees,” and someone said, “It’s a passing shower.” And just before the assembly started, the clouds actually disappeared and it stopped raining and the clearest rainbow appeared above the church building. As I looked at the rainbow that appeared after the rain, I knew I could anticipate God’s promise upon us. The rainbow made me think of God’s promise to make our church more solid than ever and that the dark clouds were only fleeting.
I would like to share two promises God has given us through the assembly.
First is the assurance that God will use Crystal Church in His great works. Jang Hansu and Park Sunyoung expressed how precious they thought our church was and how excited they were to one day see our church explode. Through prayer, God has shown me what kind of church Crystal Church was, and how precious the great service and dedication, tears and prayers were that were put into building the church. And God is telling me that He will build our church to go beyond just good and become a great church.
Second is the assurance that God will use mokjang leaders of Crystal Church greatly. Jang Hansu and Park Sunyoung said that every single mokjang leader of Crystal Church was as precious as crystals and that they were learning from them. But the two mokjang leaders have become our role models and given us new dreams. They said that if such ordinary people as themselves were used by God once they sought God’s Kingdom and His will, there is no reason the Crystal Church congregation couldn’t be used by God. If we trusted this promise and held on to it despite adversities and challenges, God will surely bless us and use us in His great works. Let us be patient until that day comes. God bless everyone who gave their utmost best in serving our guests.
