          • Introducing the guest speakers for mokjang leaders testimony assembly
Assembly dates: 22nd-24th March (Fri-Sun), 26th-27th March (Tue, Wed)

The testimony assembly with Jang Hansu mokja and Park Sunyoung moknyo as guest speakers commences on Friday, 22nd March. I have summarized Pastor Choi Youngki’s introduction of the speakers (House Church Ministry leader column).
Mr Jang and Mrs Park run a Chinese restaurant inside a small shopping center. It is not easy to serve as mokjang leaders when you are working from 8am to 10pm. They also have a teenage daughter who is intellectually disabled and has an intellect of a five month old. They are in no situation to be serving as mokjang leaders. Despite this however, they are great mokjang leaders, and many non-believers are receiving salvation through them.
They close the restaurant once the ingredients bought in the morning run out. The couple have decided to do this because they found it impossible to serve their church whilst working in their restaurant till late at night. They also realized they couldn’t tell their mokjang families to attend conferences or bible studies without themselves setting an example. The restaurant does not do deliveries which normally generates 30% of the total profit for Chinese restaurants. Strange enough, the restaurant hasn’t gone out of business, rather it has flourished.
The price of black bean sauce noodles and spicy noodles at the restaurant is $5. It is one of the cheapest prices in Cheonan, but the ingredients used are fresher and ampler than those of high-end restaurants. There is so much seafood in their spicy noodles that there is still some left after all the noodles are gone. They also don’t charge extra for size upgrades.
The reason they do this is because as Christians, they consider their business as a tool for serving others. There are always long queues outside their restaurant. Customers all know this bargain restaurant is run by Christians, and so they understand why the restaurant is closed on Sundays and wait to come back on weekdays. The couple has a vision of sponsoring 15 mission fields. They are currently serving their mokjang missionary and four underground churches.
What we can learn from this couple is that in order to experience God’s power, we should not only attend church regularly, but “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness” (Matthew 6:33) in our family and work. When we trust God’s promise and seek his kingdom and his righteousness by prioritizing God, we will experience blessings of “all things being given to us”.

            This week’s message
We have a special dawn prayer service this week. I pray we will experience the power of our living God through our dawn prayer.
