At Sydney Crystal Church, we have children’s blessing time every Sunday and our parents enjoy seeing their children receiving blessings. However, with the church growing in size and lacking space we are faced with various problems. It is getting harder to set the tone before service time and more and more people are waiting outside until children leave for Sunday school. A change we had implemented to improve the situation was to bring children’s blessing time forward to the beginning but this seemed like a mere formality. After weeks of consideration and after seeing how the number of children had grown at last week’s Talent Market, we decided to implement another change through teachers’ meeting. For the next three months at our morning service, we will no longer have children’s blessing time and this will be reviewed after three months.
For those of you who may be disappointed with the change, please be advised that children’s blessing time will still take place in the afternoon service and the English service. Also, we still have “Olive Blessing” in our weekly mokjang gatherings.
In order to implement the change we need our teachers’ commitments and everyone’s cooperation. For the preschoolers please ensure they are with their parents no later than 10 minutes before service so that their teachers are able to prepare for their lessons. For Sunday School, it may actually be beneficial for the students to help their teachers prepare for class. We will soon be making a playground for children near the entrance on the right so that our teachers are able to take care of the children more effectively.
This week's message
Due to the limited parking space at our church, we ask that you kindly arrive early and park further away.
