          • How to give a testimony during the Sunday joint service

I sincerely appreciate the touching testimonies we have every week during the joint service, and below are some suggestions for the speakers.
In terms of the message in our testimony, we must glorify God through it and the audience should be able to see God through the testimony. The focus of our testimony should not be ourselves but God.
Testimonies can be about salvation, bible studies, ministries, mission work, etc. The more specific examples you give in your testimonies the more inspiring they are. Salvation testimonies can be about your life before accepting Jesus, how you came to accept Him, and changes you have experienced since. Other testimonies can be about what you have come to realize about faith, providing specific examples.
Second is time. There is a Korean TV show on KBS with a segment called 'Hear me out' in which people are given seven minutes to talk about their life story. Seven minutes can seem rather short but the speaker is able to make the viewers laugh and cry at the same time within the time. Because your testimony time is also limited, you must have it written out first (approx. two A4 pages). When you first write out your testimony, write everything you'd like to say and read it out loud and keep editing it till it's approximately seven minutes long. And the transcript needs to be emailed to me by 5pm Saturday at the latest.
Lastly, start our your testimony by giving glory to God. A bad example of an opening is 'I am giving a testimony today because the pastor asked me to'. At the end of the testimony, please include a word of gratitude for those who have helped you to be where you are. You can finish your testimony by saying, "Heaven bless you".
Please also have a printed script ready, or on a 10" tablet pc rather than on your smartphone.

            This week's message
The most important thing in our lives as Christians is relationships. Having a good relationship with others simply means being a 'warm person'. Let us be a warm Christian who can make someone happy this week.
