          • A Christian life checklist

There is joy and fun and a sense of reward in our lives as Christians when we experience our faith growing. Many people think that their faith will grow just by attending church, however this is a misconception. Our faith also does not grow just by doing ministries. Our lives must reflect our faith. Unless we have the right foundation of faith and live a life of faith, our faith will not grow no matter how long we have been going to church, and we won't experience spiritual maturity.
We need to examine our faith to see if we are going in the right direction and check whether we are getting the basics right. The following are the basics we need in order for our faith to grow and mature.

            1. Do I come to church in anticipation? We need to pray for the church service throughout the week and anticipate meeting God through the service. We must also come to church at least 10 minutes early and make ourselves ready to worship and praise God. Focusing on God through praise and worship, prayer and the sermon is essential.

            2. Am I applying any of the messages from the Sunday sermon in my life? Think about how much influence God's Words have in my life. The Sunday sermon should have a message that is pertinent to our lives throughout the week, we should obey His message and apply it in our lives to experience transformation and His power. Having biblical knowledge does not necessarily equal spiritual maturity. We must listen to the sermon every Sunday and make new commitments for the week.

            3. Do I have quiet time with God daily? We must have a devotion time we spend with God quietly, in which we speak to Him and He speaks to us. Set aside your first hour in the day to meditate on God's Word and pray.

            4. Do I have a loving relationship with my mokjang family? We must have a relationship of giving and receiving love. Encouraging one another, praying for one another and serving others together is a healthy relationship in which you will experience restoration, power and joy in your Christian life.

I hope we all become mature Christians through repeating the four fundamentals each week.

            This week's message
People are moved by compliments that are specific; there is sincerity when you give detailed, specific compliments. It moves others and brightens the church. Let us be more friendly to all our visitors.
