This is a story of a woman inside a church in Milano, Italy. A woman sat at the back of the church and started crying fervently. Her crying did not stop for 10, 20, 30 minutes. The church director patted her on the shoulder in an attempt to console her and asked, "What's wrong, maám?" The woman replied, "Sir, my son is a heathen. What do I do?" What Ambrosio said next became one of the greatest sayings, "Don't worry maám. When parents pray, their children will never fail."This woman was Monica, mother of Saint Augustine. Eventually, Augustine came back to God and became a huge influence leaving a large trace in the church history.
Children of prayers never failing was Monica's belief and confession. In the same way, this applies to all who pray.
We are holding our prayer service for two reasons. First is to prepare for the upcoming 522nd house church seminar for lay people in prayer. The second reason is for us to overcome the difficulties we are facing in our lives. it is to overcome numerous problems with our health, families, finance, visa, etc. that doesn't seem to ever change, and to bring our requests to God in prayer.
The first way to pray is through a 'prayer relay'. I ask everyone to choose a day and time at least once a week to fast and pray. Second is the ‘special dawn prayer' which will take place starting this Monday through Saturday. We will also be reading a book called "The kneeling Christian" during the week.
My dear congregation, please rid yourselves of the unbelieving thought that prayers do not work, and commit yourselves to prayer. Christians who kneel before God will succeed, and never fail.
This week’s message
“Those who pray shall never fail”. We are holding a special dawn prayer from Monday through Saturday. I pray everyone will see God in their place of prayer.
