          • How to celebrate

The reason for the positive energy at our church is because there are touching testimonies and there is joy through celebration. For many more congratulatory moments to come, I have made a list of rules and ways to celebrate these special moments.
            1) We will announce new visitors only if they have filled out a new member card
            2) Those who have signed up as a new member will come to the front and receive pastor’s gift and applause from everyone
            3) For completion of life classes, everyone will receive a certificate, given out by the instructor. Since Living Life is the first class to be taken after accepting Jesus, the mokja of the person’s mokjang can prepare flowers to honor their very first class completion.
            4) To celebrate becoming an official member of the church, the pastor will prepare a small gift and everyone will applaud. You may apply to become an official member of the church through your mokja once you have completed Living Life.
            5) During the hug ceremony, we will sing “기쁜 일이 있어 천국 종치네 (Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus)” and everyone in the person’s mokjang will hand them a flower with a hug. The hug ceremony is for those who have accepted Jesus, was baptized, and completed Confident Life.
            6) Baby dedication is for those who have applied for the ceremony one week after returning to church after giving birth. We will sing ‘A tree planted by streams of water’ and the pastor will hold the baby and say a prayer of dedication.
            7) Everyone will applaud after baptism, and we will sing “하나님께서 당신을 통해 (In this dry land)” and their mokjang members and non-members can all come out and hand them a flower or gift to congratulate them.
            8) When a mokjang divides into two, the pastor will hand the newly appointed mokjang leader/s a certificate and say, “Let’s give them a hand to encourage them to become a Christ-like leader” and their senior leader will hand them flowers.

As we are celebrating many congratulatory events, I suggest preparing a single flower or a small bouquet rather than a large one, and soap flowers are a good idea, also. This will allow more people to join in the celebration without financial burden.

Please ensure the basketball from the basketball court at Granville is kept in a safe place after use as there are cars coming in and out of the car park. Please return the balls in the rack next to the men’s after use.
