The 522nd House church seminar for lay people is being held at Sydney Crystal Church from 22nd-23rd September for the third time. We have also been requested to host the seminar for ministers next year, and I am seeking an obedient heart through prayer.
The house church seminar was first held at Houston Seoul Church in October 1996 for ministers. Pastor Choi Youngki (former Houston Seoul Church) wasn’t sure there would be a second seminar so he had omitted the word ‘1st’ when he hosted the event. Through the seminar, however, Houston Seoul Church became famous worldwide and currently has a huge impact on numerous pastors and churches around the world. There were eager requests for seminars for lay people and it has now been held over 500 times, helping new house churches settle and have more stability than before.
Churches that host house church seminars experience many blessings and become more influential. Cheonan Asan Disciple Church, where I visited for training, hosts both ministers’ and lay people’s seminars as well as pastors’ training courses, and despite me thinking how difficult it would be to host such events, the church and its members have in fact become more influential and have received great blessings.
For our lay people’s seminar this year, all 30 places have been filled and there are people on the wait list hoping for extra places. I ask everyone to take this opportunity to receive God’s blessings and participate in the event. Everyone’s effort and dedication in the seminar will not be in vain and will undoubtedly bless your mokjangs and your lives.
