I left Houston last Sunday night and arrived in Sydney, Australia after having stopped over in Auckland, NZ. I went straight to the retreat location and led the English retreat for house churches. It was an opportunity for us to share our thoughts deep within our hearts and to be healed. And today, (9th) I preached at Sydney Crystal Church, a church Pastor Song Youngmin started 17 years ago with a house church mindset after reading a book Pastor Choi Youngki had written. The church now has around 300 adult attendees and 40 mokjangs, and in February, it started an English service.
The atmosphere of the church moved me.
It was clear.
It was bright.
It was young.
It was passionate.
It was warm.
It was alive.
It was humble. (Pastor Song expressed his gratitude saying that he had learned everything from Houston Seoul Church)
It was mad (for their love and passion for the VIPs).
It was fresh.
I was the one who preached, but I was also the one who received grace.
Never had I seen people who were so focused and crazy about saving their VIPs’ souls.
I saw hope in Sydney through Crystal Church.
It was a day of relief and joy.
I pray and hope that churches like this continue to be built in Korea, America, Australia, and all over the world.
