          • Designating a mokjang reporter

Everyone in a mokjang has a role- whilst one person is responsible for sharing a summary of the week’s sermon, another person prepares praise and worship from the service that week to sing together during the meeting. You can also designate someone to lead olive blessing for the children in your mokjang as well as for missionary, finances, birthdays, etc. Depending on your circumstances, everyone should ideally have a role or two each.
For a mokjang to run smoothly, it’s important to follow the guidelines and for everyone to each have a role. I want to add another ministry called ‘a mokjang reporter’. A mokjang reporter takes photos of their mokjang meetings and posts them on the church website. This is something we used to do in the past before we transferred to a new website and people had suggested making it private.
I wanted to start doing this again after talking to Pastor Park Jong Guk, who visited our church last month. He said that his church’s website is very active because of the mokjang reporters. According to Pastor Park, people’s active participation on the website encourages more network and communication amongst mokjangs. Looking back, I also felt the website was more active when we posted pictures, and by looking at photos of other mokjangs, it gave people a chance to learn how other mokjangs operated. I would like to ask everyone to have a reporter in their mokjang so that through the photos we post there is more interaction.
Mokjang reporters can take a photo of their mokjang meeting with a brief comment on how the meeting went. I ask that you refrain from disclosing prayer subjects or stories that should only be shared within your mokjang, and this can be done once a month.
