The heat of people’s prayers warmed the cold chapel at early dawn. The book of Numbers especially filled me with grace as it reminded me of our lives out in the wilderness. The scene of people in uniforms ready to go to work, mothers with their half-asleep children, those who looked like they had just woken up- to me, they could not have been more beautiful. I truly wanted to bless our church families passionately praying for God’s grace and help in their lives as immigrants. I can already feel the power of prayer through the three-strand cord prayers we have been sharing in pairs and groups. Prayer, when we come together, is undoubtedly more powerful. I was also grateful for the mokjangs serving breakfast. For some, it was their first time coming to a dawn service, to prepare breakfast. The opportunity to prepare breakfast the last two weeks turned into an opportunity to pray at dawn. The dawn service prayer will continue this week in the lead up to the conference with Pastor Park Jong Gook (from Tuesday to Saturday) and everyone can help themselves to breakfast each morning (toast, spread, eggs etc.) Let us prepare for the event in prayer so that God will open doors of opportunities and we will experience a spiritual and physical soaring.
