In the lead up to the Guest Pastor Conference with Pastor Park Jong Guk
We have been meditating the Book of Numbers for some time now, and the Israelites wandering in the wilderness reminds me very much of us. And I am learning that the shortcut to the promised land through this barren field we are passing by is found through obeying the Word of God, and not relying on our own thoughts and experiences.
If our lives as immigrants are like wandering in the wilderness, we must be fully equipped with the Scripture. Otherwise, we may appear to be living in faith when the sun is shining, but once we are faced with the rain and storm, we will lose that faith and rely on our experiences, knowledge and feelings. I can say with great confidence that those who obey and live by faith regardless of whether they can see a way out will be given the promised land.
A conference with Pastor Park Jong Guk will be held at our church during the first week of July, on 7th-9th. I pray he will serve as a guide for us at this point of time in our lives as we experience ‘wilderness wandering’. I pray that through this, we will all experience God’s pillar of cloud and fire and his provision of manna.
I request that you all prepare for the upcoming conference in the following ways: first of all, ask God for the attendance of everyone in your mokjang, and pray for everyone’s dedication and contribution towards the event. Secondly, pray for the ‘cord of three strands’ prayer service and the special dawn prayer services held during the last week of June (26th June – 1st July). Thirdly, make sure you have no other commitments on the conference dates by adjusting your personal schedule, and prepare to invite your VIPs to this special event.
