          • Discontentment in the church
As Christians, we can face situations that upset us and make us unhappy. How we respond in these situations is very important.
A church is an organism, and one negative thought or action can spread throughout the whole body, breaking down the organism. There is one clear phenomenon when big churches in Korea break down. A large number of people, especially the younger generation, turn away from their faith and leave the church. And more recently, Korean churches here in Australia have not been an exception.
Nothing makes Satan happier than seeing discontentment within the church and we suffer the most by its consequences. Our faith weakens and we become more and more negative towards our everyday lives as Christians and towards our ministry. This negativity spreads to others and they take on the same negative attitude. Ultimately it can cause our children to doubt their faith or even lose it and leave the church.
If in the future the minister or any of the church members say or do something wrong, or if members of our small groups hurt each other in some way, we need to take this opportunity to prove our faith and not fall for Satan’s traps.
Where there is true faith and where people truly believe that the church is the body of Christ, rather than feeling bitter and resentful, praying for the restoration of the church ought to come first.
And the church needs our genuine and diligent effort in healing the church and restoring its unity.
