The young daughter of a man who was a synagogue leader in that area had died. Another person was a woman who was subject to bleeding for 12 years. Both these people had a particular problem causing them to be in despair and be distressed. However, both these people knew that Jesus was able to heal their specific problems, and went forth with faith.
With the faith of “If only Jesus would lay His hands” or “If only I could lay my hands on Jesus” the dead would live again and be save from despair.
We too, must believe that the only one who can help us is Jesus, like the heart of a father wanting to save his child and the woman suffering from bleeding, and as we earnestly seek His help I hope that the grace of being answered is present.

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
