Special Dawn Service 9: The 'Flesh' can only be overcome with the 'Spirit'
The Holy Spirit continues to refine us. He is testing the strength of our faith in our daily lives.
The evidence for that is the fight between the thoughts of the 'flesh' and of the 'spirit'. In this fierce spiritual battle, there are times when we win and times when we lose.
But we want to always win. We want to live a life that pleases the Lord. How can we do so?
By "always drawing close to the Lord".
By "being conscious of the Holy Spirit and relying on Him".
That is the only way.
I hope that we can awaken the Holy Spirit within ourselves.
Passage to read: Galatians 5:16-17
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
