In the parable of the lost sheep, the shepherd leaves his 99 sheep on the mountain and goes to search for his one lost sheep.
This is because that is the heart of God, who gives His deep attention to each abandoned and lost individual.
We say we love Jesus, yet we focus more on things going on in our lives, not on other souls which need salvation.
However, mature Christians are those who know the heart of God and work to fulfill it.
I hope that we will know the heart of God and live a life where we work our hardest to fulfill His desires.
Passage: Matthew 18:10-20
12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?
13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
